JOIN US ON OUR DAY OF ACTION

June 21, 2010, the day of the year with more daylight hours than any other, North Penn United Way will join United Ways across the country in the third annual United Way Day of Action. This year’s events will demonstrate how people in North Penn and the Indian Valley community LIVE UNITED by participating in events that advance the common good and enhance education and health initiatives in the community. The events will be held June 21 and June 23, 3:30-7:30 PM at Kidz Rule Inflatable Playland and Party Center, located at 777 Schwab Rd in Hatfield.

Children in the community are being asked to invite a parent to play with them at Kidz Rule and participate in the North Penn United Way’s (NPUW) Days of Action and learn about the NPUW education and health initiatives that benefit hundreds in the community. Children 3 and up play for $8 and children under 3 play for $5.50. A portion of the proceeds from Kidz Rule will benefit the North Penn United Way’s initiatives around education, income and health.

“LIVE UNITED really means creating opportunities for a better life for all, or ‘advancing the common good’. This is ultimately what the United Way has always been about,” stated Sarah Whetstone, Executive Director of the North Penn United Way. “North Penn United Way Day of Action is giving children in the community a chance to participate in this idea of ‘advancing the common good.’ The earlier we can teach our youth to give back, the closer we get to creating a better community for all.”

Our community joins people all across the country who are taking action on June 21, 2010 – demonstrating how they LIVE UNITED™ by giving, advocating and volunteering in the areas of education and health.
